Marie Vazquez, a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies, is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. She contributes to the lab through research writing, data analysis, mentoring undergraduate students, and assisting with a variety of research-related duties. With a deep commitment to the mental health and well-being of sexual minority communities, Marie’s academic interests include examining the intersections of resilience and queer joy within LGBTQ+ populations. She is passionate about advancing inclusive, community-informed research that bridges the gap in academic research.
